Paper Usage
With single-sided printing, each page requires its own sheet of paper, so printing a 50-page document on single-sided sheets uses 50 sheets of paper.
With double-sided printing, only 25 sheets are needed for the same document (since each sheet contains two pages). This reduces paper consumption and, consequently, material costs.
Printing Time
Single-sided printing may also take more time and resources if the printing process requires each page to be printed individually, depending on the equipment.
Handling and Processing
For large-volume jobs, single-sided printing requires more paper handling and sorting, which can be labor-intensive compared to double-sided, where fewer sheets are needed.
